Plain English — no jargon
The short version: When you fill in a form on this website, you give me your name and contact details so I can get back to you about your EPC enquiry. I don't sell your data, I don't share it with anyone else, and I only keep it for as long as necessary. That's it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Kieran Bradnock, trading as KIEEPC, a sole trader based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. For data protection purposes, Kieran Bradnock is the data controller for any personal information collected through this website.

If you have any questions about how your data is handled, you can contact me at: info@kieepc.co.uk

What information we collect

When you submit an enquiry or quote request through this website, we collect:

We do not collect any sensitive personal data and we do not use cookies or tracking tools beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the website.

Why we collect it and what we use it for

The information you provide is collected and used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed with a booking, to carry out and complete your Energy Performance Certificate assessment. We will only contact you using the method you specify in the form.

The legal basis for processing your data is legitimate interest — specifically, your interest in receiving a response to your enquiry and our interest in responding to it. Where we enter into a contract with you (i.e. you book an EPC), the legal basis becomes contractual necessity.

How long we keep your data

If your enquiry does not result in a booking, we will retain your details for no longer than 6 months from the date of your enquiry, after which they will be deleted.

If we carry out an EPC assessment for you, we are required by law to retain records relating to the assessment for a minimum of 6 years, in line with standard business record-keeping requirements. Your contact details may be retained alongside this record for the same period.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or any other commercial purposes.

Your enquiry is submitted through Formspree (formspree.io), a form-handling service that transmits your details to us by email. Formspree processes data under its own privacy policy, which you can find at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

When an EPC assessment is completed, the results are lodged on the national EPC register, operated by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, as required by law. This is a legal requirement and does not include your personal contact details.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@kieepc.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
